West Nottingham Township is located in Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, about three miles south of Oxford. The state of Maryland, Lancaster County, and the township's of East Nottingham and Lower Oxford surround the rural countryside of the Township.

Established in 1718, West Nottingham Township is rich with history dating back to 1701 when a group of William Penn's followers settled in the Nottingham Area. Today, the Township has approximately 2,722 residents and is part of the Oxford Area School District.

Township Taxes Due December 31, 2022





Real Estate Taxes were due by December 31, 2022. Unpaid taxes are in the process of being turned over to the Chester County Tax Claim Bureau for delinquent tax collection. If you unpaid real estate taxes, you should contact the Chester County Tax Claim Bureau for payment.



Library Seeking Input through Survey





The Chester County Library System needs your input! A Customer Satisfaction Survey is currently available until March 1st. Whether you use the library or not, please consider taking this survey to help the library improve services and reach as many community members as possible. PA 272 Corridor Public Meeting





The township's steering committee, along with Traffic Planning and Design, hosted a public meeting on January 17 at the Herr's Visitor Center to discuss the PA 272 corridor, transportation issues, and ways to improve safety. The goal of the PA 272 corridor study is to create a plan for the future of the corridor that improves the safety and utility of the roadway while accommodating for potential growth within the region. PA 272 Corridor Plan Citizen Survey





A traffic steering committee consisting of the Township Supervisors, Planning Commission members, residents, and traffic engineers from Traffic Planning and Design (TPD) has been established to look at the Route 272 Corridor, traffic impacts, and future development. TPD has created a survey to help guide the transformation of the PA 272 Corridor. If you live or work in the township, or regularly drive Route 272, we’d like to hear from you!
